THIS MONTH'S SPOTLIGHT: Heritage Conservation Strategies
from GDRC's Programme on Heritage and Conservation

Why heritage? Effective conservation of heritage 
resources not only help in revitalizing local economies, 
but also brings about a sense of identity, pride and 
belonging to residents. 

Heritage is now no longer just the perview of the 
field of archeology, and a number of stakeholders,
not in the least, the local community, need to be 
involved for the success of heritage conservation 
strategies.

What, when, where, which, why who, how, whether

Asking different types of questions will help
build the 'big' picture ...

In order to better understand any issue we are 
studying, it is necessary to look at it from all 
angles - so that a thorough assessment can be made.

So it is useful to keep the 'question starters' 
what, when, where, which, why, who, how, whether - 
in mind when gathering information on an issue. 

There are many ways to make sure that comprehensive
information is collected - and this is one fun way
to ask questions (and maybe confuse the issue 
even more!).
