The Credit Road Map Patrick Ritchie
The book educates the reader about the world of credit through short stories and examples that illustrate the facts of the credit world. It was designed to be an informative, yet interesting read. The author has been teaching and researching the world of credit for the past five years, and is based on his experiences in the banking industry. The book has been well received and is nominated for the 2007 Pulitzer Prize in non-fiction and the J. Anthony Lukas Book Prize (for a book on a current social concern). The book is very useful in the classroom when teaching about credit, personal finance, and homebuyer education.
The book is a great resource for the classroom and one of the few books on credit that went through a major screening process. Craig Watts, the Public Affairs Manager at Fair Isaac, reviewed the sections on credit scoring for accuracy. Before releasing the book, 200 review copies were distributed to bank officers, real estate agents, housing counselors, professors, teachers and general consumers to get feedback in order to produce the most comprehensive book possible.
