About the Virtual Library on Microcredit

| Many activities go on in the development of a programme, both on-line and off-line. This development process is as much about programme development and implemenation, as it is about management of information and the internet. The following files form part of an informal Press Kit, and provide a peek into the background and preparation of the Virtual Library on Microcredit. |
| The Virtual Library on Micdrocredit started in a very humble way as the "Informal credit Homepage" in early 1995 - just when the web was booming. Over the years new themes and issues were added and in line with the current thinking, it was renamed as the Virtual Library on Microcredit in honour of the endorsement given by the Virtual Library initiative. The VLM became an integral part of the Global Development Research Center, when it was launched in 2000.
