The Global-Local Hub is a cross-programme portal of GDRC (Programmes of Environmental Decision-Making, Sustainable Development, The NGO Cafe and Urban Environmental Management), that hgihlights research work exploring the intrinsic interlinkkages between the global and local levels.

The Big Threenamely, climate change, biodiversity loss, and desertification - represent the greatest environmental challenges confronting humanity today. Each issue is critical in its own right, yet they are deeply interconnected. Climate change accelerates biodiversity loss and land degradation; biodiversity loss weakens the natural systems that regulate climate; and desertification diminishes the planet's capacity to sustain both people and ecosystems.
Together, they form a triad of global crises that demand integrated and cooperative responses, linking science, policy, and community action to secure a sustainable future for all.
